1637 Tigertail is a New Regency house located in North Coconut Grove with easy access to Key Biscayne, Downtown, Brickell, the Grove and Coral Gables.
The original house was built in 1938 and expanded in 1986 into a very generous lay out. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms existed within a very dated interior. By opening up the kitchen to the dining room, the house began to flow into a charming family home.
Installing new impact windows, keystone floors from the Dominican Republic, new bathrooms, lighting and landscaping turned a dated house into a spectacular, private family residence.
The first ground-up build project for LointerHome, Matheson was a 3775 square foot 4 bedroom 4.5 bath home floating above the ground. Sliding walls of glass opened to reveal the pool and patio. A custom MicCuccina kitchen featured Wolf and Viking appliances. 5” wide, white oak plank floors ran throughout the home. The sculptural, floating Ipe staircase led to 3 ensuite bedrooms upstairs. The master flowed onto it’s own balcony, generous walk in closet, dual headed rain shower, which opened to a private hidden outdoor shower on a louvered terrace.
This 1948 mid-century modern home originally designed by Architect Trip Russell received a much needed thoughtful make-over and expansion which resulted in an AIA Award in 2016. Designed by LointerHome this home has approximately 4,100 square feet of living space, featured 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, an office, a media room and a gourmet kitchen. A beautiful pool is centered on this grand 11,500 square foot lot surrounded by mature native landscape.
42 Samana Drive is a mid-century modern house located in Bay Heights - a private, walled community in North Coconut Grove. Developed in the mid-50s for many of the doctors who worked at the local hospitals, the homes are well-laid out with generous square footage. Samana Drive belonged to her original owner when purchased and had close to 70 years of belongings stacked inside. Clearing out the home revealed that a few of the spaces could be opened up to create an open concept living/dining/kitchen area which the split-plan bedrooms surround.
Situated on a 11,000+ square foot lot, Battersea House is a Tropical Modern compound designed by Lointerhome and Brillhart Architecture. The original structure was thoughtfully expanded for the modern family. LointerHome was established as a residential real estate development company in Miami, Florida focused on large-scale historic renovations as well as new construction.
Founded and fully funded by owner Amanda DeSeta, LointerHome has deep experience and vision to see past years of neglect to identify when a home needs a new lease on life.
That same experience informs the decision of when to demolish a home in order to build something
which will significantly contribute to the building vernacular of Miami.
Amanda De Seta has been a real estate developer since 2005, with projects spanning from residential to commercial, luxury to market and affordable housing. While embracing both historic renovations as well as new construction, her focus has become focused in the affordable housing sector. Ms. De Seta started her career in Los Angeles renovating historic homes. But it was not until moving to Coconut Grove that Amanda was able to give full reign to her passion for renovating distressed structures into alluring properties. Rather than demolishing, Amanda preserves the original design intent of each structure by finding redeeming, genuine qualities to bring back to life.. This focus was on full display in July 2016 when the American Institute of Architects awarded her 4150 Malaga Project its top prize for excellence in Renovation and Addition.
In 2022, Amanda formed Affordable DevCorp with Mr. Irving Weisselberger. Irving has been the principal of DragonFly Real Estate Investments for 13 years acquiring over 200 residential/multi-family properties, over 5 million square feet of retail and 250,000+ square feet of industrial. Irving holds a bacheleors degree in finance and accounting as well as a Masters of Accounting. Both Irving and Amanda see the need to create affordable units across South Florida. They have been approached by the City of Miami to renovate declined units in District 2, and are in talks to begin installing modular units to increase the number of viable homes quickly for a growing social problem. By utilizing traditional and non-traditional building methods, Affordable DevCorp will deliver higher quality units on a faster timeline.
